More than twenty years have passed since I received the EOS 20D I dreamed of (and no, I am not shooting with it anymore, in case you are wondering 😄). Since then, I've spent countless hours and thousands of kilometres walking the streets of some of the world's most challenging cities in search of interesting moments. Behind those photographs, however, lie years of study, reflection, conversations, mistakes, disappointments, and rewarding experiences that have gradually made me a more conscious and intentional photographer.
The journey is still ongoing. Somewhere along the way, that camera stopped being just a tool and became a mirror.
I have also realised that photography and teaching have never been two separate parts of my life. One taught me how to see the world; the other how to help people see it for themselves. Bringing them together through photography workshops felt like the most natural next step.
These workshops are my way of sharing everything I've learned, not only about photography, but about observation, preparation, and developing a more deliberate way of working.
If the fear of travelling to a new location, shooting strangers, or seeing nothing worth photographing feels familiar, if you often find yourself wondering why others seem to create more compelling images, or if you simply want to experience a place more deeply, then you're not alone. I've been there too.
It's easy to believe that the next camera, the next dream destination or the next YouTube video will take your photography to the next level. At some point, real progress comes from practical experience, honest feedback and guidance that together help you build confidence and develop your own way of seeing.
That's the shift my workshops are built around.
If this feels like the right step forward in your photographic journey, I'd love to welcome you to one of my upcoming workshops.
